It has been known and proven that cigars remain best in a specific set of environmental conditions. The first such condition is, of course, the temperature. Though it has been a debated issue as to what is, after all, the ideal temperature at which cigars should be stored, a common consensus has been reached that the temperature should be between sixty eight and seventy degree Fahrenheit. There are certain conservatives who are very rigid about the specific temperature that must be maintained to keep the essence of the cigar intact. Such people generally quote a temperature of seventy degree Fahrenheit. But there are others, the liberals, who are willing to allow a slight fluctuation in the temperature to be maintained.

Another equally important factor concerns the humidity level. There’s an agreement that in order to keep the cigar fresh over a long period humidity conditions of 70 to 72% are ideal.
